While there’s no shortage of animated masterpieces on Disney+ to watch with the whole family, we could always use a few more live-action, family-friendly picks to round out our watch lists. The next few years will bring more new content than our watch lists will know what to do with, but we’ll be rich in movies perfect for any given movie night. On April Fool’s Day, Disney dusts off its 2012 fantasy family dramedy The Odd Life of Timothy Green for a second life at Disney+.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green centers on Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim Green (Joel Edgerton), a married couple who work at a museum and a pencil factory, have trouble conceiving a child and hope to adopt a child of their own. Rather than getting down on their luck, Cindy and Jim write down a list of qualities they wish for in a child and bury the note in a box in their backyard. Unexpectedly and perhaps magically, a young boy named Timothy (CJ Adams) arrives at their door. Before long, Timothy teaches them that a little hope and magic can surprise you with life’s greatest gifts.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green comes from director Peter Hedges, who also directed such films as Pieces of April, Dan in Real Life and Ben Is Back. Upon release, the film garnered mixed to negative reception from critics, leading to its 35% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film didn’t fate much better at the box office, bringing in a modest $56 million worldwide against a budget of $25 million. Regardless of what critics and moviegoers said, The Odd Life of Timothy Green should make it onto your watch list and headline a family movie night. Don’t miss its addition to Disney+ on April Fool’s Day.
