You season 2, episode 6: Love inches closer to Joe’s dark secrets
By Sandy C.
Joe Goldberg is officially known as Joe in You season 2, episode 6. But the discovery of his real name has not fully uncovered his dark past, how soon until Love digs it all up?
Joe is still not safe, not while Candace is still around. And though she appears to be happy with Forty, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have plans to continue figuring out how to expose Joe and keep the Quinn’s safe. Breaking into Joe’s apartment to search for evidence seems like a good place to start.
Unfortunately for Candace, Delilah spots her. Candace does manage to get inside the apartment, with Delilah keeping watch and unlocks the window so she can easily break in later. Love appears to be one step ahead of her, though, and catches her in the act that same night.
Before Candace can even speak, Love reveals everything she already knows. For starters, “Amy” is Candace Stone, and after no one believed Joe tried to kill her, she spent some time in a mental hospital. Needless to say, Love refuses to believe anything else that leaves Candace’s lips.
We’re not sure what else ends up happening after, until Love tells Joe about her and Candace’s awkward meeting. This is when we learn Love paid Candace a large sum to stay away from her and Joe. But is Candace truly gone for good? Doubtful. Not to mention, we didn’t see Candace leave, really. And we’ve seen enough TV to know that viewers need to see the person to believe they are truly gone.
In the meantime, things are not going great for Joe and Love. She’s furious Joe wasn’t able to trust her with his history with Candace, and even more mad about giving her a fake name. However, both she and Forty agreed to let Joe keep his job.
Love and Joe’s story is far from over, but things just got more interesting now that Love is closer to learning all about Joe.
You season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
