New on Netflix this week: Dracula, Anne with an E and more

2020 is almost here and Netflix is ringing in the new year with a ton of new shows and movies. Take a look at the full list here!

A new year may be coming this week but that doesn’t mean Netflix is taking a break from bringing you plenty of new content. If you have a couple days off, you’ll have lots to watch. Whether you’re looking for a new series based on a classic novel, the last season of a Netflix Original, or want to binge-watch a popular franchise, Netflix has you covered.

From the creators of Sherlock, Dracula is coming to Netflix on Jan. 4. Based on the trailer, this might be the most gruesome adaptation of the classic novel ever made. The fingernail moving is enough to make even the strongest stomachs go a little wobbly. And in true Sherlock fashion, there will only be three episodes in season 1. So if you like it, you’ll probably have to wait a year or two for season 2.

If you’re more in the mood for a lighter series, the last season of Anne with an E hits the streaming service Jan. 3. In this season, Anne is turning 16 and trying to find out where she comes from and who her birth parents were. She is dying to know more about her family history. Additionally, since it’s the last season, her relationship with Gilbert will certainly be covered and developed.

James Bond is back on Netflix starting Dec. 31. Die Another Day, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World is Not Enough are all being added to the streaming service. If you love Pierce Brosnan as 007, this is your chance to binge all the films before the new year begins.
