Love is in the air once again for Joe Goldberg, but has he learned his lesson or is he back to his old bag of tricks? Here are the best moments from You season 2, episode 1.

Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is back in our lives! He has moved to Los Angeles in hopes of commencing a fresh start in a city where it’s easy to get lost. But as much as he may try, trouble and love always seems to follow Joe. Or is it Joe who seeks out all the drama? Either way, this is going to be one intense and dark season. You season 2, episode 1, spoilers ahead!

To quickly recap, You last left us with Joe getting away with murder. He isn’t a suspect in Beck (Elizabeth Lail) or Peach’s (Shay Mitchell) deaths. But just because no one is pointing any fingers his direction, doesn’t mean there isn’t anyone out there who is out to get Joe.

In fact, the person who is now after Joe is one of his victims. In the final moments of season 1, Candace (Ambyr Childers) appears back in Joe’s life. How did she survive and what does she plan on doing to Joe? Season 2 dives right in!

Please note before we break down the season 2 premiere of You that there are spoilers ahead! Be sure to watch season 2, episode 1, “A Fresh Start,” before reading on.

1. Delilah and Ellie

Delilah (Carmela Zumbado) and Ellie (Jenna Ortega) are a sister duo who live in Joe’s new apartment building in Los Angeles. Delilah is the manager there, but her passion is becoming a reporter. Underneath her and Ellie’s tough exterior, you can tell they are kind people and we fear for their lives. After all, you know what happens with those who get too close to Joe.

Still, despite being afraid for them, they are also instantly one of the things about the new season. Delilah, in particular, is very interesting and we can’t wait to learn more about her and how her story will connect with Joe’s — or as he is going by now, Will Bettelheim.
