You starring Penn Badgley is expected to be renewed for season 3 at Netflix! The second season of the series premieres on Thursday, December 26, 2019.

We have some good news to share with fans of the Netflix original series You! According to a report from Deadline, Netflix is expected to renew You for season 3 after the show won a California tax credit for season 3.

The series was awarded more than $7 million, so the third season is expected to be a go. Netflix has not confirmed the renewal yet, so it’s always good to proceed with caution when news like this breaks. It’s a very good sign for this show coming back for season 3.

At this point, we don’t know what You season 3 could be about. The second season premieres on Netflix on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019. Netflix just shared the trailer for season 2.

Watch the trailer for season 2 below!

As mentioned, we’re still a bit early in this process, so there’s a lot that needs to happen before the third season. Assuming You is renewed for season 3, it’s expected that Joe, who just moved to Los Angeles following the events of the first season, is likely to stay in California for the third season.

You season 3 will likely be released on Netflix about a year from now if Netflix announces a quick renewal. We saw the first season on Netflix in December of 2018, although it had already aired on Lifetime. You season 2 hits Netflix right after Christmas, and based on how this season goes, we will likely see You season 3 around the same time next year.

This is the perfect show to release around the holidays when subscribers and viewers, hopefully, have time off from work and more time to binge-watch new shows.

It will be interesting to see where this show goes in a new season. The first two seasons are based on the books by Caroline Kepnes, You and Hidden Bodies. As far as I know, there’s not a third book in the works, but that could change, I guess, in the future.

We’ll be sure to let you know more information about the new season of the series and its coming renewal! Stay tuned for more news about the hit series.
