The Ranch comes to an end next month

The Ranch starring Ashton Kutcher, Sam Elliott Debra Winger, and Elisha Cuthbert will end its four-season run on Netflix in January 2020.

We now know when the Netflix original series The Ranch come to an end.

Ashton Kutcher announced The Ranch Part 8 will be released on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020. Part 8 consists of the final 10 episodes of the hit comedy series.

We’ve known for a long time that The Ranch was ending. News broke early this year that the show’s fourth season, which consisted of Part 7 and Part 8, would be the final season of the series. Netflix waited several months to confirm the news that the show would, indeed, be ending after the fourth season.

At that point, it was a just a waiting game to find out when the final episodes would be available. Part 7 was added to Netflix in September 2019. After the cliffhanger in the midseason finale, we expected that we would be waiting until spring 2020 to see the final episodes of the season. Earlier this month, Netflix surprised fans with the news that the series will end in the final week of January.

We’re still waiting for the trailer for The Ranch Part 8, but at this point, we have to imagine most of the plot of the season will revolve around the final scene of Part 7. Someone shows up to Nick’s trailer, and then, there’s a gunshot. Who pulled the trigger? That’s the big question heading into the new season.

We should also see many of the storylines involving Colt and Abby, Sam and Joanne, Maggie, and Luke wrapped up. This is the final season after all, so we have to assume the writers will do their best to give fans who have been tuning in for four years a little bit of closure.

From the release date announcement, it looks like Winger will be back as Maggie in Part 8. Winger did not appear in any episodes of Part 7, but we haven’t heard that she left the series for good, so we have to assume she had something else going on or the writers kept the character out of Part 7 for some reason.
