Servant season 1, episode 4 unravels new theories about Leanne
By Sandy C.
The latest episode of Servant on Apple TV finally reveals a huge fact about Leanne, while also unraveling new theories.
When Apple TV dropped Servant on its streaming service, it gave viewers the first three episodes at once. As intriguing and addicting as they each are, it doesn’t really answer many questions. In fact, it only creates more mystery and theories, which audiences have been loving! Episode four, however, finally reveals a huge fact about Leanne that helps us scratch off a few theories while giving birth to new ones.
Spoilers ahead if you are not caught up on the series!
Initially, two theories were the most popular about Leanne’s real identity. The first, is that she’s an alien, this is heavily backed up by episode three, which sees Leanne mimicking Dorothy and Sean’s behavior. The second is that she’s in a cult, more than likely a servant of Satan, which would make sense with the series title.
Episode four now cancels out the alien theory, because, as it turns out, Leanne has known about Dorothy for years! Dorothy interviewed Leanne, briefly, when Leanne was a little girl. Dorothy has no memory of this because it was so long ago and I’m sure Dorothy has interviewed hundreds of people since. But, for Leanne, Dorothy must have had a lasting impression on her.
Has Leanne been following Dorothy’s work and life ever since? New hot theory alert: Did Leanne burn down her parents house? Could she have faked her own death? All to be with Dorothy? Episode five will, hopefully, give us more answers about this.
Even if episode five of Servant does help us understand more about Leanne, there is still another huge question we have — who is Jericho?
Now that we know Leanne is more than likely a human, the supernatural factor isn’t looking possible. “Jericho” could very well be either a baby Leanne kidnapped or her own child, as Julian and Sean suspect. What are your theories?
Servant premieres new episode every Friday only on Apple TV.
