Will you be staying up late to watch Marriage Story starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver on Netflix on Friday, December 6?

Marriage Story starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson is coming to Netflix very soon! The film premieres on Netflix on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019.

The film is directed by Noah Baumbach, who also directed Netflix’s The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), which premiered in 2017.

If you want to watch the new Netflix original movie as soon as it’s available to streaming, you can start watching the film at 12:01 a.m. PT on Friday. That’s the time the streaming network releases their new movies and shows, and that’s not going to change with Marriage Story.

And, Marriage Story might be the Netflix movie to stay up late to watch if you’re not used to binge-watching shows and movies when they are released. This movie is already considered by some critics and those who saw it in theaters to be the best Netflix movie so far. That’s high praise considering Roma, The Irishman, Mudbound, and some of the other great Netflix movies to come out in the last few years.

Marriage Story tells the story of a married couple, Nicole and Charlie, played by Johansson and Driver, respectively. In the film, the couple tries to work through a divorce, custody battle, balancing work and life on opposite coasts, and taking care of their son, Henry.

Ray Liotta, Laura Dern, Merritt Wever, Alan Alda, and Julie Hagarty also star in the Netflix film!

At this point, it looks like this film is the favorite to win Netflix’s first Oscar for Best Picture. The Irishman, the other new Netflix movie, is also in the running. Both movies should be nominated, and it would not be surprising if either film does win Netflix its first Best Picture Oscar.

For their roles in the film, I fully expect Driver and Johansson to be nominated Oscars for their roles in the film, in addition to Baumbach being recognized in the writing and directing categories, as well.

This movie is a must-watch on Netflix! You should check it out on the streaming service when you have a chance this weekend.

Remember, the film premieres on Netflix on Friday, Dec. 6, at 12:01 a.m. PT!
