The Irishman starring Robert De Niro is coming to Netflix tonight
The Irishman directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci is coming to Netflix on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019.
If you didn’t get the opportunity to see The Irishman in theaters (and most people didn’t), you’re next chance to watch this new Netflix original film starts tonight!
The Irishman premieres on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Nov. 27. If you can stay up late on Tuesday night, you can watch the Oscar-contender as soon as it’s available to stream.
Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Ray Romano, Anna Paquin, Jesse Plemons, Bobby Cannavale, Stephanie Kurtzuba, and more star in the film. The film is based on the book I Heard You Paint House by Charles Brandt. The book and story for the film follows the life of Frank Sheeran, a hitman for the Bufalino crime family.
In the film, De Niro stars as Frank Sheehan, who worked closely with Jimmy Hoffa, a union leader during the 1950s and 60s who also had mob ties. There’s a lot more to it than that, but I don’t want to spoil any part of the story for those who don’t know it yet!
If you like gangster movies, this is the movie for you to watch one the streaming service this week!

There’s no doubt The Irishman will be one of the best Netflix movies ever. Scorsese is a legend and one of the best filmmakers in history. This movie has an insane cast, and it should be one of the contenders for Best Picture at the Oscars.
Roma probably should have brought Netflix its first Best Picture Oscar, but The Irishman seems to be one of the favorites to win the award. Unfortunately, it will have to compete with another Netflix original film, Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. Marriage Story premieres on Netflix on Dec. 6, 2019.
At the time of publishing, The Irishman has a 96 percent critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s one of the best ever for a Netflix movie.
Will you be staying up late to watch The Irishman on Netflix? Spread the word about this great film hitting the streaming service soon!
