A list of 32 good movies and shows to watch on Disney Plus for Thanksgiving, including Noelle, The Mandalorian, the Star Wars movies and more!

Happy Thanksgiving week! Hopefully, you have some time this week to kick back and relax with some new movies and shows. The holiday also makes for a great time to explore Disney Plus.

Below, you’ll find a list of more than 30 movies and shows to watch on Disney Plus over Thanksgiving week. If you’re looking for something to watch, this is the list for you!

Let’s get the list started with Noelle, a new Disney Plus Christmas movie!

Noelle

Noelle is well on its way to becoming a holiday classic and a must-watch every year during the holiday season. The film is exclusively streaming on Disney Plus, and it’s perfect to watch with the whole family.

Anna Kendrick, Bill Hader and Billy Eichner star in the film, which follows the Kringle family. After Nick takes over as Santa, he has some problems adjusting to the new gig and runs away right before Christmas. His sister, Noelle, travels to Phoenix to find him and bring him back to the North Pole.

I really enjoyed this movie, and if you like holiday movies, I think you will, too!

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is the biggest show in the world right now. The first three episodes of the first live-action Star Wars series are now streaming on Disney Plus. You’re not too far behind, and there’s more than enough time to catch up before the first season ends on Friday, Dec. 27. New episodes are added to the streaming service every Friday.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as a bounty hunter, known as a Mandalorian, and follows his latest mission.

This show is one of the best things I’ve seen this year. I can’t wait to see how it factors into the larger Star Wars Universe and what happens next!

Star Wars Movies

If you can’t get enough Star Wars, Disney Plus has almost all of the movies! Thanksgiving week is the perfect time for a Star Wars marathon, especially with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker coming to theaters on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019.

Here’s the list of Star Wars movies available to stream on Disney Plus:

  • Episode I: The Phantom Menace
  • Episode II: Attack of the Clones
  • Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
  • Episode IV: A New Hope
  • Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
  • Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
  • Episode VII: The Force Awakens
  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is streaming on Netflix, along with Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Marvel movies

While Thanksgiving is the perfect time for a Star Wars marathon, it’s also the perfect time for an MCU marathon! There are 16 MCU movies available to stream on Disney Plus right now, including Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame.

If you haven’t seen the MCU movies or if you just want to go back and revisit some of these action hits, check them out this week!

Here’s the list of MCU movies on Disney Plus:

  • Iron Man
  • Iron Man 2
  • Iron Man 3
  • Thor
  • Thor: Dark World
  • The Avengers
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • Avengers: Endgame
  • Captain America: The First Avenger
  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  • Captain America: Civil War
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
  • Ant-Man
  • Doctor Strange
  • Captain Marvel

Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp are not available to stream on Disney Plus yet. They are still available to stream on Netflix and will be for a while longer.

The Santa Clause

It’s time for a couple of Christmas movies! The Santa Clause trilogy starring Tim Allen is also streaming on Disney Plus. These movies used to be on Netflix, but as Disney movies, these movies are here to stay on Disney Plus.

You can watch all three movies on the streaming service right now!

The Muppet Christmas Carol

The Muppet Christmas Carol is a must-watch on Netflix for fans of The Muppets! Now, the movie is available to stream on Disney Plus.

I don’t think there’s any reason to describe the plot this movie. It’s Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol with the Muppets!

There are a bunch of other Muppets movies and shows on Disney Plus right now, too, including The Muppets, The Muppets: Most Wanted, The Muppets: Treasure Island and more!

Frozen

Frozen 2 was just released in theaters on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019. Before you venture out to the theaters to watch the new film, you have to re-watch the original film on Disney Plus.

With the full vault of Disney movies to stream, I wonder how Frozen will hold up. It seems like it’s one of the most popular recent Disney movies, but how does it stack up on the same streaming service as the classics?

Moana

Moana is also streaming on Disney Plus after a few years on Netflix. The film tells the story of Moana, played by Auliʻi Cravalho, who goes on a quest to save her island with the help of the demigod Maui, played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

It’s been three years since Moana premiered in theaters as of Saturday, Nov. 23. Now is the perfect time to revisit this modern Disney classic!

Remember The Titans

This one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, and it’s the perfect older movie to watch with the family this Thanksgiving week, especially for football fans.

If you haven’t seen this movie, you are seriously missing out. It’s based on a true story, and it following the TC Williams Titans football team through their first season as one of the first desegregated high schools in the 1970s. Denzel Washington stars coach Herman Boone

Looking back, there are some major stars in this movie, including Washington, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Hurst, Wood Harris, Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panettiere, and Donald Faison. That’s an incredible cast!

Lizzie McGuire

Lizzie McGuire: The Complete Series is also available to stream on Disney Plus, and according to fans on social media, the binge-watch of the full series is a great way to spend the early days of the new streaming service.

In case you haven’t heard, Lizzie McGuire is also getting a sequel series that will be exclusively released on Disney Plus! Hilary Duff is back with most of the main cast from the original series.

In the new series, Lizzie is living in New York, she’s 30 years old, and she’s trying to survive as an interior designer. Oh, and she’s married, according to Disney.

We don’t know when the new series will be premiered, but it’s like it will be sometime in 2020.
