Fans of the ’90s animated X-Men cartoon rejoiced when they found all five seasons were streaming on Disney Plus. Opinions have changed since discrepancies in the episode order were brought up.

To be clear, all episodes of X-Men The Animated Series are currently streaming on the Disney Plus streaming service. What certain fans are finding an issue with is the fact that Disney didn’t get the episode order correct.

While it’s easy to throw around blame, we should note that episodes didn’t always air, according to their intended schedule on Fox. At the same time, finding an accurate listing of when each episode was supposed to air is nearly impossible.

Nevertheless, Disney made the error of rearranging episodes from seasons 3, 4, and 5 in what can only be described as “random,” according to a report from Yahoo. There’s no rhyme or reason to the way X-Men: The Animated Series is situated on Disney Plus, but that’s what we have for now.

The one redeemable aspect is that Disney managed to get the first two seasons listed correctly. Every episode from Night of the Sentinels to Reunion Part 2 is in its’ correct place, which is a good portion of the series. One could even argue those seasons are why the show rose to popularity so fast and then stayed there.

As for the remaining episodes, fans shouldn’t count on a correction being made anytime soon. Disney may choose to issue an update in the near future, though odds are the animated series will be left as it is. Then again, reorganizing a list of episodes shouldn’t be too difficult for the Disney Plus’ tech team to figure out. That is assuming the errors are technical in nature.
