Already binge-watched the third season? Need more of the royal story? Netflix already has your back. The Crown season 4 is already confirmed.
The Crown season 3 is on Netflix and, if you’re anything like me, you’ve already binge-watched it in full. Okay, so you may be on the last few episodes. Either way, you’re looking into the future of the Netflix original.
There’s no doubt that you need more of the royal drama. As much as we worried about the change of cast, it was very quickly clear that these were the same characters. The show still felt the same, and it was just a case of moving forward with the timeline. So, will there be a fourth season?
Netflix already has your back. The Crown season 4 is officially happening. When the third season was renewed, it came with the news that there would also be a fourth season.
The plan has been to have six seasons of the series. And there will be 10 episodes to each season. Every two seasons, there will be a new cast to take on the lead roles, taking us through the various decades of Queen Elizabeth II’s life. That means the fourth season will keep Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Daniels and others in their roles.
After that, the fate of the series is in the air. Netflix has yet to confirm the fifth and sixth seasons. We know that Netflix shows rarely move past the fourth season. Getting those fifth season renewals is extremely hard, so all we can do is keep watching and making it clear that we need to see this series through to the end. Considering the critical acclaim the series has had, I think we’ll get the fifth season unless something drastically goes wrong with The Crown season 4.
