Let It Snow is one its way to be the latest Netflix original Christmas hit. Netflix should make a sequel with Kiernan Shipka, Shameik Moore and the rest of the great cast!

Let It Snow, a new Netflix original film, premiered on the streaming service on Friday, Nov. 8. With tons of subscribers looking for quality holiday movie content, this is the movie to watch, and after watching this movie, I’m sure you’ll want more!

The film is based on the book of the same name by Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle, and John Green. It follows a group of high school seniors in a small town at different points of romantic relationships. When a snowstorm hits their small town, things come together at their local diner.

The film has an awesome cast including Isabela Merced, Kiernan Shipka, Shameik Moore, Mitchell Hope, Odeya Rush, Liv Hewson, Matthew Noszka, D’Arcy Carden, Jacob Batalon and Joan Cusack.

This romantic comedy is solid, and it’s a must-watch for any holiday movie fans this year.

Netflix is invested heavily in holiday programming in the last few years. And, with the hits they’ve had, almost all of them are getting sequels.

The Princess Switch 2 starring Vanessa Hudgens was just announced this fall. This summer, news broke that Christmas Chronicles 2 starring Kurt Russell is happening at Netflix. We’ve already seen one Christmas Prince sequel, and there’s another one coming later this holiday season.

Let It Snow is the most recent Netflix holiday hit, and I’m fully expecting this movie to get a sequel at Netflix. As of right now, Netflix hasn’t announced the sequel for the film. I’m guessing that changes in the near future.

While many will argue this film stands alone and doesn’t exactly set up another story, I see clear storylines for a sequel.

Are Tobin and The Duke, also known as Angie, still together? What about Dorrie and Tegan? What’s the deal with the Tin Foil Lady? Are Stuart and Julie making the whole pop-star-dating thing work? Is Julie at Columbia? How is her mom doing? How is Keon’s DJ career going?

And, the most important question of all, will D’Arcy Carden’s character, Kira, find love at Christmas?

We’ll come back a year or two later for Christmas. At that point in time, many of the high school seniors have left for college, and they’ll be returning home for Christmas. Others will have stayed behind to work or do whatever. There’s something weird about those first holidays back home after the first semester of college, and it’s the perfect time to check back in with these characters to see how it’s going.

This isn’t that hard. Here’s a list of possible sequel titles:

  • Let It 2now
  • Let It Snow: 52 Weeks Later
  • Let It Keep Snowing
  • Let It Snow: The Bli22ard
  • Let It Snow: The Snowstorm Strikes Back
  • Let It Snow With A Vengeance
  • Let It Snow: I Know What You Did Last Winter
  • Let It Snow: 2 Snowy

Let It Snow 2 might actually be the best name of the bunch, but there’s definitely potential there for a good sequel name.

If Netflix decides to make a sequel to this original movie, we’ll be sure to let you know. If enough people watch this holiday season, I have to think they’ll at least take a look at continuing this story.

The one problem might be the number of rising stars included with this film with Shipka, Moore, Batalon, Merced, Rush, Hewson and more. All those young stars are probably going to be very busy over the next few years.

Shipka is, of course, the star of the Netflix original series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and if Marvel ever gives us the live-action Miles Morales Spider-Man movie, Moore should be the one to star in that movie as Miles Morales. Moore voices the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Stay tuned for more news about this great holiday movie and its potential sequel at Netflix!
