Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to be released on Disney Plus on launch day, Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019. Originally, the film was coming to the streaming service in December.

Avengers: Endgame is coming to Disney Plus a lot sooner than expected!

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Avengers: Endgame will be released on Disney Plus on launch day, Tuesday, Nov. 12. That’s really good news for Marvel fans!

Months ago, Marvel and Disney announced Endgame would be added to the streaming service on Dec. 11, 2019, about one month after the launch of the streaming service. For some reason, the House of Mouse has moved up the release date of Endgame on the streaming service to the first day the streaming service will be available.

Honestly, it makes a lot of sense why they would do that. They own the rights and can make these decisions with the distribution of their shows and movies. Why make people wait a month to watch the highest-grossing movie of all time?

When the new Disney movies were headed to Netflix, we used to wait about eight months to watch those movies on the streaming service. There’s no reason for that wait anymore. Disney can move it up a few months if they choose, and it’s probably a good business move to make this movie available sooner. I don’t know who is signing up for Disney Plus just for Avengers: Endgame, but there’s probably somebody out there doing it for that reason.

It makes sense that they would want to get this movie to the masses as soon as possible, and that appears to be the strategy here.

Marvel announced the news on Twitter. Check out the announcement below!

Interestingly, Endgame is only going to be available on Nov. 12 in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands, and Australia and New Zealand will have to wait a week, until Nov. 19, to stream the film on Disney Plus, according to the report.

I don’t know why that is, but I’m sure it has something to do with licensing rights to the film in Australia and New Zealand.

We’re officially less than a week away from the launch of Disney Plus, and things are looking good for the streaming service. I haven’t seen any projections on subscribers, but the volume of movies and shows is going to make a lot of people very interested.
