Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings anthology finally has a trailer! Take a look a what the country music legend has in store for her Netflix series.

If you’ve been waiting for a peek at Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings anthology, the wait is finally over. Netflix released a trailer of the series set to come out on Nov. 22. The show will feature a different story based on one of Dolly Parton’s songs each episode with eight episodes in total.

Based on the trailer for the Netflix original series, the stories will vary greatly. The most popular of the songs, Jolene, features Dolly herself and Julianne Hough as the title character. There’s also Two Doors Down featuring a wedding that’s not as happy of an occasion as it may seem and JJ Sneed about an outlaw who falls in love starring Once Upon a Time’s Colin O’Donoghue and Willa Fitzgerald.

The anthology will also include These Old Bones about a female lawyer fighting for her client starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Down from Dover about a pregnant teen who must find a safe place to stay after being shunned by her father and If I Had Wings starring Delta Burke. Sugar Hill and Cracker Jack will also be featured. Dolly Parton will play a part in most of the episodes and narrate the introduction.

While quite a few artists have turned their songs into Broadway musicals, not many have turned their work into a whole Netflix series. And this is only eight of her songs. Hopefully, the anthology gets a second season and we get to see more of the legendary country singer’s music turned into stories we can watch. I would love to see what she’d do with 9 to 5 and if it would be different from the movie.

What do you think of this new anthology? Will you be watching? What Dolly Parton song would you like to see made for TV? Let us know in the comments below!
