Stranger Things 

Stranger Things is the perfect Halloween show on Netflix. It’s scary and suspenseful like Halloween should be, but it also has the sweet and funny moments to pair nicely with all your candy. You can’t go wrong with the kids of Hawkins this Halloween! There’s actually a Halloween episode, too.

The Haunting of Hill House 

The Haunting of Hill House is the most terrifying series on Netflix. It premiered on the streaming service last October, and it was a huge success. The series is a reimagination of the classic horror story of the same name by Shirley Jackson.

After years of nightmares since their time at a weird house, a family comes back together to confront their demons. This show is wild. I had a hard time watching it because it’s so disturbing!

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina  

Like The Haunting of Hill House, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premiered on Netflix just in time for Halloween 2018.

The Netflix original series, which is based on the Archie Comics characters and graphic novel of the same, follows Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka), a young witch living in Greendale. Sabrina must choose the path of night or the path of light on her 16th birthday to become a witch or live her life as a mortal. What will she choose?

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is coming back for season 2 on Netflix! We were hoping it would be released before Halloween, but that’s obviously not going to happen.

Scream 

Scream is, without a doubt, the best horror movie to watch on Netflix for Halloween. The film, which kickstarted a whole genre, basically, follows Sidney (Neve Campbell), a teenager, who is trying to move on from the death of her mother when tragedy strikes.

In their small town, a hooded killer has murdered two teens, and he (or she) is back to kill Sidney and all of her friends.

The Conjuring

The Conjuring is one of the best modern horror movies. The film has launched an entire universe, basically, with several movies and stories currently in the works.

The film follows two paranormal hunters, a wife-husband duo, played by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, as they investigate weird happenings at a farmhouse in Rhode Island.

James Wan directed the film, so you know it’s going to be good!

I always recommend The Office, Parks and Rec and New Girl to those who aren’t a fan of horror shows. All three shows have excellent Halloween episodes!
