14. Billy on the Street

Seasons: 5

Starring: Billy Eichner

Release Date: Friday, Nov. 1

If you’ve been a fan of watching Billy Eichner scream at unsuspecting New Yorkers since 2011, you’ll be ecstatic to learn that, rather than watching clips on YouTube or retweeting videos on Twitter, you will now be able to binge-watch all of Billy on the Street on Netflix. There’s no word on whether this means any potential new seasons would stream exclusively on the platform as well, but one could only hope that this is the beginning of something new and amazing.

Billy on the Street, a comedy game show of sorts, features actor and comedian Billy Eichner roaming around New York City and asking pedestrians questions about pop culture. He often plays the popular games “For a Dollar” and “Quizzed in the Face,” which earn the contestants a small amount of money. Given the nature of the show, anything can happen, and it’s led to some incredible, unscripted moments of pure comedy gold that you simply cannot write.

Billy on the Street first premiered in December 2011 on Fuse, where it ran for three seasons of 32 episodes. The three-time Emmy-nominated series then moved to TruTV in 2015, where it ran for two additional seasons of 21 until 2017. Following its televised run, Billy on the Street returned in short-form online videos from Funny or Die and sponsored by Lyft. Let’s hope this is the last stop for the internet’s favorite game. Stream every episode beginning on the first of November.
