One of November’s best bets, How to Be a Latin Lover, is an underrated movie featuring lots of talents that anyone looking for a laugh should definitely check out.

Eugenio Derbez stars in How to Be a Latin Lover as Maximo, a man who’s made a life out of marrying older women for their money. However, Maximo receives the reality check of his life when his 80-year-old wife leaves him for a younger car salesman, leaving the out of shape and spoiled swindler out of his mansion. He moves in with his sister Sara (Salma Hayek) and her son, but he’s already set his sights on seduction a widowed billionaire with the sole purpose of returning to the luxurious lifestyle he’d become accustomed to and was swiftly ejected from.

How to Be a Latin Lover comes from director Ken Marino, who made his feature film directorial debut with the comedy and followed up with last year’s Dog Days. However, you’re probably most familiar with Marino as an actor from Veronica Mars, Party Down, Wet Hot American Summer and many, many other films and TV shows. The film holds a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was a modest box office success, bringing in over $62 million worldwide against an estimated production budget of $10-13 million.
