5. Red Notice

Who’s in it: Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds

Why put it on your list: Starting off our top five of most anticipated Netflix movies is Red Notice. The cast is definitely a reason to get excited, whether you’re a fan of the Fast & Furious franchise, love Wonder Woman, or enjoy the comedy of Deadpool.

Very little is known about the movie so far. However, it’s certainly a big-budget movie, hitting possibly $200 million, which isn’t surprising when you understand the prices for the casting. However, it certainly sounds like it’s going to be worth it. Universal Pictures and Netflix are on board with this movie.

For those who need a little more about it, this is an action thriller that focuses on the pursuit of an art thief, the most wanted art thief in the world. It will cover multiple countries to tell the tale, again linking to the high budget needed for its success.

If Netflix is willing to put so much risk into this (remember that Netflix pays for everything upfront) then it shows that this is something to keep an eye out. Right now, there isn’t a set release date. Production is slated to start at the beginning of next year and it sounds like we’ll get it sometime towards the end of the year.
