Raising Dion
If you need a new show about people with powers, Raising Dion is the show for you. It’s a different take on the superhero tv show or movie, and it’s really, really good.
Raising Dion stars Alisha Wainwright, Jason Ritter, Ja’Siah Young and Michael B. Jordan. It’s based on the comic book of the same name by Dennis Liu.
The series focuses on Dion, a kid who has powers, and his mother, Nicole. They are trying to move on from the death of Dion’s father, Mark, played by Jordan, when Dion discovers he has powers.
This is one of the best Netflix originals of the fall!
Eli
Want to see Stranger Things star Sadie Sink in a horror movie? Eli is your chance!
To be honest, I’m not sure what is happening in this movie, but it looks like some sort of supernatural thriller that takes place in a weird treatment center.
This Netflix original movie is part of Netflix’s Netflix and Chills lineup for Halloween. It hits the streaming service on Oct. 18.
The Laundromat
The Laundromat also hits Netflix on Friday, Oct. 18. It’s the first of Netflix’s Oscar contenders to be released on the streaming service.
The film stars Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, David Schwimmer, Sharon Stone, Will Forte, and Jeffrey Wright. It has one of the best cast of any Netflix original movie ever.
The Laundromat follows origins of the Panama Papers scandal, basically.
Living with Yourself
Living with Yourself is a must-watch for fans of Paul Rudd! The series follows Rudd’s character, a middle-aged man unhappy with his life. In an effort to try to improve his life, he undergoes a procedure to have a “better life,” according to Netflix. Unfortunately, Rudd’s character is then replaced by what appears to be himself.
It’s a weird premise, but you have to watch the trailer above! It looks hilarious.
Like The Laundromat and Eli, Living with Yourself also premieres on Friday, Oct. 18.
