Everyone is afraid of the dark even just a little bit and all the malicious creatures that hide in the darkness.
Based on a 2013 YouTube short with the same title by David Sandberg, LIGHTS OUT focuses on a supernatural being that can only be seen in the dark. As creepy as that in itself sounds, the story itself has something even darker inside. The opening scene itself will creep you out enough on its own, but if you’re brave enough, you can stick out the whole movie.
In the movie, Rebecca thought that all the things that scared her as a child were behind her. When her younger brother Martin starts to have the same fears, she steps in. Their mother seems to have a connection to whatever it is that lurks in the dark and is no help either and seemingly unstable. Left to face their fears, Rebecca and Martin must try to stop the evil that harasses them before it’s too late.
The things you see out of the corner of your eye and that feeling of someone hovering behind you are all the feelings this movie conjures up so it’s most certainly one to watch with the lights on!
