New on Netflix: 49 new movies and shows available to stream today

The month of fright has finally arrived and with it a fresh new wave of TV shows and movies are on the way. Here is a look at the 49 new TV shows and movies added to Netflix on Oct. 1.

It’s that time again Netflix fans. As always, the start of the month is always the time where we get the largest influx of new content and October is no different. All in all, there are 49 new titles, both TV shows and movies, available to stream on Netflix as of October 1 and there is something for everyone.

Looking at the movies dropping at the start of the month, Bad Boys I and II is definitely a must-watch. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are simply brilliant in the buddy cop comedy-action movie, and with Bad Boys For Life set for release next year, it’s time to look back at what started it all.

Other movies worth checking out are Charlie’s Angels, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, Oceans 12 & 13, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Rugrats Movie, and The Time Traveler’s Wife.

Turning our attention over to the TV shows now and Carmen Sandiego: Season 2 is the number one choice. The Netflix original animated series is back, and Carmen is still the modern-day Robin Hood that she was in the very first season.

It’s also worth checking out Signal: Season 1 if you are interested in seeing a crime drama with a time travel twist. Since it is fright month, it would be well worth giving Bring It On, Ghost: Season 1 a chance as well.
