2. Frozen

The film that just won’t let go (I’m sorry) will also be available when Disney Plus launches this November. With Frozen 2 coming out later in the month, this is the perfect time to re-watch the first film and re-familiarize yourself with the characters and the story.

If, somehow, you haven’t seen Frozen or at least heard the story, here’s a quick recap. Elsa and Anna are the princesses of Arendelle, but Elsa happens to have magic. Magic that can produce ice and snow from her fingertips. But when Elsa accidentally freezes Anna, their parents try to control everything Elsa does which causes Elsa to lock herself away from Anna. This becomes even worse when their parents die.

But then comes Elsa’s birthday where she’s to be crowned queen of Arendelle. She is terrified the kingdom will find out about her powers. The coronation brings people from all over, including Prince Hans who Anna quickly falls in love with. When Elsa objects to them marrying, her powers go out of control and she flees, but not before surrounding Arendelle in a perpetual winter.

Anna, not willing to give up on her sister, goes on a journey to find her, meeting an ice harvester, Kristoff on her way and he helps her make it to the mountain.

The film is filled with magic, music, and love. You may be tired of having “Let It Go” stuck in your head, but beyond that, the story is one that most people can relate. It’s worth a re-watch if you haven’t seen it in a while.
