They’re back! Ahead of next year’s sixth and final season, which will air on Pop, Schitt’s Creek returns to Netflix with the latest hilarious. And it’s quite the season, since season 5 helped break the series out into the mainstream award circuit. Schitt’s Creek landed its first Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as acting nods for Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. Everything’s coming up Roses! The fifth season is one of October’s best new releases.

Of course, Schitt’s Creek centers on the wealthy Rose family, who lose their fortune and are forced to relocate to the small town they ironically own called Schitt’s Creek. Through a series of fits and starts, the Rose family resists their new surroundings, but once they’re resolved to the fact that they’re stuck living in a motel, they put down roots in their new home. Season 5 finds David (Daniel Levy) getting serious with Patrick (Noah Reid), Alexis (Annie Murphy) debuting her flop pop song and Moira (Catherine O’Hara) putting on a production of Cabaret.

Schitt’s Creek premiered in January 2015 on Pop and in Canada and has steadily increased in popularity through word of mouth. The series became an online sensation, growing and adding new fans once each new season streamed on Netflix. Although fans will be disappointed to bid farewell to the Rose family and all their quirky friends when season 6 premieres in January, there’s still another awards season ahead for Schitt’s Creek. Make your reservation for laugh-out-loud binge-watch when the latest season arrives on Oct. 10.
