7. American Horror Story, season 8

Premiere date: Sept. 24

You are severely late to the game if you have yet to watch American Horror Story. If you’re a fan of great TV with a splash of horror and violence, not to mention, intense drama that doesn’t take itself too seriously, put this series on your radar as soon as possible.

Since American Horror Story is an anthology series, you can pick it up anywhere. I do suggest, however, that you start from the beginning. And sure, the horror series has hits and misses. You may not enjoy each season the same and may even be turned off by a couple of chapters, but the seasons that are worth it will more than make up for it.

On Sept. 24, Netflix launches American Horror Story: Apocalypse, the ninth season of the FX franchise. This one is a favorite! There’s a lot to love, from the cast and the characters they portray to how it serves as a crossover between two other seasons (this is why it’s best to watch from the beginning): Coven and Murder House.

If Murder House and Coven are on your list of favorites, Apocalypse was even more great! We all love a crossover, and Coven is without a doubt one of the best seasons the franchise has offered. Seeing our favorite witches once again was a real treat!

I am a little bothered, however, that Netflix isn’t giving us this season before the latest season of American Horror Story, titled 1984 premieres on FX. But, I suppose, since it’s an anthology series, we don’t have any catching up to do. Still, it would have been nice to have more episodes of AHS to watch before the debut of 1984.
