9. Shameless, season 9

Premiere date: Sept. 10

If you have never watched Shameless, but were considering it until you read it’s already on its ninth season and are changing your mind, don’t! Yes, you may be nine seasons behind, but this dysfunctional family drama is very well worth your time! Best of all, seasons 1 through 9 are available to stream on Netflix. If you have a long week off coming up or need a series to watch over the holiday break, give this comedy a shot!

It would be useless to advice you not to become attached to the character you’ll meet in the series. Emotional moments that’ll have you sobbing are unavoidable, but so are heartwarming life lessons and many laughs.

Season 9, however, is arguably the biggest yet! It features many goodbyes from major players and life-changing moments. We won’t spoil who is leaving the show, you can search for the answer if you truly want to spoil it for itself.

Enough sad stuff! Here are some fun guest stars to keep an eye out for in season 9: Courteney Cox, Dan Lauria and Katey Sagal.

Shameless streams on Showtime and premieres on the network Nov. 10. Netflix usually launches a new season from another network just as they are about to debut a new one so fans can re-watch it or catch up before new episodes arrive. It doesn’t do this so far from the premiere date, though, so this is a real treat. Fans now have plenty of time to catch up before Showtime debuts season 10.
