Everything coming to Disney Plus on its launch Date
The full list of movies and shows available to stream on Disney Plus from the launch date (Nov. 12), including Stars Wars, The Mandalorian, Marvel movies, and Disney classics!
The biggest question for Disney’s new streaming service Disney Plus is what exactly will be on it for its day one launch? Obviously the service will eventually house all Disney properties, but for those day-one users, there has to be some benefit.
Disney Plus is scheduled to launch on Nov. 12, and it will be fully stocked with tons of good shows and movies. Honestly, Disney Plus already looks loaded. New shows, new movies, and fan favorites will land on the streaming service on its first day.
Shows like The Mandalorian and a remake of Lady and the Tramp will be available as soon as you can access the feed. Not to mention the first six films of the Star Wars universe and nearly every single Pixar film.
All of that plus more will please any new subscribers as well as entice the hesitant few. While Netflix scurries around to build out its library before losing nearly half of it, Disney Plus will feature property that has previously been in the vault without appearing on any service.
There’s plenty of information out there about the new shows, but of course, the highlight is The Mandalorian. Jon Favreau’s Star Wars entry has already had major buzz at the recent D23 panel and looks to be one of the best shows in the upcoming year. It marks the first time that Star Wars content will be shown in live-action form on television.

Anytime the words Star Wars show up, people are intrigued. Depending on how The Mandalorian performs, the Star Wars canon may just see more stories played out on our televisions rather than on the big screen. For now, though, the first day of Disney Plus will feature the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy for your viewing pleasure. Soon after the launch date, the two newer entries should be available on the service. They are still currently streaming on Netflix as of now.
