Netflix cancels No Good Nick after one season

No Good Nick will not return for season 2. Netflix canceled the original series starring Sean Astin and Melissa Joan Hart after one season.
Another Netflix show has been canceled. Netflix canceled No Good Nick starring Sean Astin and Melissa Joan Hart after one season, according to a report from TV Line.
No Good Nick premiered on the streaming service in April, and the second half of the first season was released on the streaming service in August. The report did not mention why Netflix canceled the series but only that the show would not be back for season 2.
Usually, Netflix gives shows like No Good Nick a second season. It had a great cast and the story showed promise moving forward. Unfortunately, the show was not as buzzworthy as some of the other recent Netflix releases, and that’s probably why the show was ended after its first season.
More recently, Netflix has not seemed as apprehensive as they were in the past to cancel shows after one season. Most Netflix shows were given a second season unless they really struggled to get off the ground. With the cast that No Good Nick had, I thought it would certainly be back for a second season, but clearly, the streaming network has other plans.
Hopefully, they will continue to work with Astin and Hart in the future. I think there’s potential for most shows and movies with the actors.

In the first 24 hours since the cancellation news broke, fans have already started a petition to save the show by Netflix bringing it back for season 2 or for another network to save the series. Unfortunately, it seems to be a rather small group at the minute, but I’m sure it will grow as news of the cancellation spreads.
Recently, the streaming network has come under fire from some subscribers for canceling shows like The OA, One Day at a Time, Tuca & Bertie and more.
The network does not often comment on cancellation news, but when they do, they usually claim the viewership as the reason behind the show’s cancellation.
