Morgan completes his testimonial
Following a very tense confrontation with Virginia (Colby Minifie), Morgan informs Althea (Maggie Grace) that he’s done recording his story. He doesn’t stop out of resentment or a parting of ways but because he’s finished telling the tale of his old life. Now he’s ready to live again.
In light of this epiphany Morgan (Lennie James) reaches out to Grace (Karen David) over the radio. He realizes there’s no time to waste and he can’t miss the opportunity to live again, even if it’s just for a second. Grace, however, might not be on the playing field for too much longer.
Grace is really sick
Towards the episode’s end, Grace falls ill again. Daniel (Ruben Salazar) picks up the radio to tell Morgan what’s happening, giving him their location. All the while, Grace’s condition makes it appear as though she’s succumbing to the zombie flu — could this be the end of her?
Whether Grace’s time is up or not, she’s not holding anything back either. She too realizes how holding back her emotions any longer won’t do any good. So now Grace is ready to open up to Morgan. It’s a shame their connection is so poorly timed but the time they have left has to be enough.
Althea is still searching for Isabelle
Not surprising in the least, Althea is still searching for Isabelle (Sydney Lemmon). She overhears another survivor say something similar to what Isabelle said during their brief encounter and immediately assumes Isabelle’s group is affiliated with Virginia. Fortunately, that’s not the case.

Once Althea and Morgan arrive at the luxury condominiums occupied by Virginia’s people, she realizes they’re not associated. Al was hoping Isabelle would be there regardless of the circumstances, but there are two completely different factions. Then again, Virginia could just as easily have some affiliation with CRM and Isabelle’s group if their goals line up.
Ginny reminds us of Negan once again
Every time Virginia enters the picture, she’s offering her help to someone new, just like Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) used to do. She’s not doing these things out of the goodness of her heart but in exchange for favors down the line. Negan sought similar exchanges from his friends albeit with a slightly more forceful tough.
Ginny isn’t as bloodthirsty but she’s starting to give us the impression that she doesn’t have much of a gentle touch at all. The silver lining to her offers is she seems to be okay with rejection. Virginia’s people are obviously keeping a watchful eye on Morgan and the others but they’re willing to live and let live, at least for the time being.
Karen David can sing!
The final point worth touching upon isn’t necessarily about the episode but more so about one of the actors: Karen David.
At about midway into the episode, Daniel and Grace find refuge in a solitary room where a few musical instruments are strewn about. Grace picks up a guitar and suggests she and Daniel sing a song together. She begins strumming the guitar with clear skill and then begins singing.
There’s no way to tell if the guitar-playing was all attributed to Karen David herself but her singing definitely proves she has some talent. It only lasts for a few seconds but her song goes on long enough for it to make a lasting impression. The question is: Will we hear more before Grace’s time is up?
