Lilo and Stitch

If you’re in the mood for a feel-good movie that transports you back to childhood and teaches unforgettable lessons, then look no further than Lilo and Stitch.

A long-treasured movie, Lilo and Stitch is about two sisters named Lilo and Nani who lost their parents when they were younger and follows how their lives change after adopting an alien named Stitch.

Nani has been the one raising her younger sister Lilo and is in constant fear of the social worker taking her away after he has raised concerns of her ability to take care of Lilo. Meanwhile, Doctor Jumba Jookiba is facing charges for illegal experiments, specifically experiment 626 also known Stitch, and while on trial the 626, escapes and crashes on a small island in Hawaii.

Mistaking him for a dog, Lilo adopts him from the nearby shelter and despite their rocky start, the two soon become close as they share a common feeling of being outcasts. Similar to the movie Coco, this movie puts a heavy importance on how family is more than just blood, and they’re all you really need.

The film’s success launched a franchise, including a TV show named Lilo & Stitch: The Series and three sequel films named Stitch! the Movie, Lilo and  Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch and also Leroy & Stitch. For a movie so heartwarming and inventive, it’s no wonder people wanted more.
