5 good Netflix movies and shows to watch this week: The Ranch and more

A list of five good Netflix movies and shows to watch this week (Sept. 8-14), including The Ranch Part 7, Shameless season 9 and more!

There are some great new Netflix movies and shows available to stream this week! To help you find something to watch, we put together a little sampler of all the best content to stream.

There are a few Netflix originals, like The Ranch, headed to the streaming service this week, but you’ll also find a good selection of new movies and shows, including the new season of Shameless. 

Let’s get started with Eat Pray Love! 

Eat Pray Love

Starring Julia Roberts, James Franco, and Javier Bardem, Eat Pray Love is coming to Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Elizabeth Gilbert and tells the story of Gilbert as she begins her journey around the world to find something that she’s missing in her life.

Bill Burr: Paper Tiger

Bill Burr has a new stand-up comedy special coming to Netflix this week! Bill Burr: Paper Tiger premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The special was filmed at Royal Albert Hall in London and marks Burr’s sixth comedy special and third one for Netflix. You can watch four out of five of Burr’s specials on Netflix right now before Paper Tiger premieres.

Tall Girl

Tall Girl is the only new Netflix original film coming to the streaming service this week. The film tells the story of a “tall girl” in high school who is having trouble dating, along with other things going on in her personal life.

The film stars Ava Michelle, Griffin Gluck of American Vandal, Luke Eisner, Sabrina Carpenter, and Paris Berelc.

Shameless season 9

The most recent season of Shameless is coming to Netflix this week! The full season will be available to stream on Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 10. You should have plenty of time to binge-watch the season on Netflix before season 10 premieres on Showtime in November.

The Ranch Part 7

The Ranch Part 7 hits Netflix on Friday, Sept. 13. It’s been a long break between seasons for fans of the series. If you haven’t seen Part 6 on Netflix, you should definitely catch up before the new season premieres!

Part 7 kicks off season 4 of the series, which is also going to be the final season of the show. The show will end with Part 8 on the streaming service in 2020. Consider this the beginning of the end, Ranch fans.
