Riverdale season 4: First look at the season premiere and tribute to Luke Perry
By Bryce Olin
Here’s your first official look at Riverdale season 4! The series shared three images from the season 4 premiere and tribute to Luke Perry titled “In Memoriam.”
Riverdale shared the first official look at the season 4 premiere, a tribute episode dedicated to Luke Perry, who played Fred Andrews in the series.
Perry passed away earlier this year. At the time, the Riverdale writers had completed all the scripts and stories for the season, so the show decided to wait to honor the iconic actor in the season 4 premiere. The episode is titled “In Memoriam,” and it is a standalone episode, according to a report from TV Line.
Season 4 premieres on The CW on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
We don’t know a lot about what will happen in “In Memoriam,” but it looks like it features some sort of fireworks display in Archie’s backyard. Shannen Doherty, Perry’s co-star from Beverly Hills, 90210, has joined the cast for the season 4 premiere. We’ve yet to see a picture of her character yet.
In the images below, you’ll see several main characters, including Archie (KJ Apa) and his mother (Molly Ringwald) along with the rest of the Archie’s friends, Veronica (Camila Mendes), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Josie (Ashleigh Murray) Kevin (Casey Cott), Reggie (Charles Melton), Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni (Vanessa Morgan).
