The Walking Dead season 9 is coming to Netflix tonight

The Walking Dead season 9 starring Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan and Norman Reedus is coming to Netflix on Sunday, Sept. 1.

We have some great news to share with fans of The Walking Dead! You don’t have to wait much longer to watch the most recent season of the series on Netflix.

The Walking Dead season 9 is coming to Netflix tonight at 12:01 a.m. PT. Netflix announced the new season will be added to the streaming service on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019. The streaming network, usually, releases new seasons of shows just after midnight PT, so if you stay up late, you can start binge-watching the latest season of The Walking Dead as soon as it’s available to stream.

Obviously, fans on the East Coast, and I’m sure they know this by now, have to wait until 3 a.m. ET to start watching the new season of series.

The Walking Dead season 9 is Andrew Lincoln’s last season with the series. His character, Rick Grimes, was one of the main characters over the course of the show’s nine-season run on AMC. Lauren Cohan, who starred as Maggie in the series, also exited the show in season 9.

The first eight seasons of The Walking Dead are streaming on Netflix. You should definitely catch up before the ninth season hits Netflix tonight, if you can. Season 9 consists of 16 episodes, like many of the other seasons of the series, which makes for a good binge-watch on Netflix. If you don’t have anything to do on Labor Day, it might be a good time to watch the newest season.

Speaking of catching up, The Walking Dead has also been renewed for season 10, and the new season premieres on AMC on Oct. 6, 2019. You have a few weeks to watch season 9 on the streaming service before the new season premieres.

The Walking Dead season 10 will also be added to Netflix, but it will not happen before next fall. The season will run through the fall, winter, and spring, and then, fans will have to wait about five months for the new season to be added to the streaming service.

In addition to The Walking Dead, Netflix is also adding Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 6, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 1. Check out the full list of what’s new on Netflix in September.
