The long weekend is here and you can spend time watching movies on Netflix. Here are five good suggestions for Labor Day weekend 2019.

It’s Labor Day weekend. For many people that means no work for three days. If you’re one of those, you’ll be turning to Netflix to use up some of your time. There are some great movies dropping over the weekend and already on Netflix, including Jupiter Ascending, My Sister’s Keeper, and much more.

Sometimes the list of releases can be a little overwhelming. That’s especially the case when it comes to the 1st of the month. Netflix drops a large amount so you can work through it all during the month. For the first weekend, don’t feel like you need to get through it all. Here are five good movies to watch on Netflix over Labor Day weekend.

5. Jupiter Ascending

I know that Jupiter Ascending got some bad reviews, but I really enjoyed it. And I highly recommend it if you have older children wanting to watch a movie with you on Netflix over Labor Day weekend. It’s already on Netflix.

Starring Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, and so many more, this is a fantasy movie about a young girl who is destined for great things. There’s a beautiful world developed and the graphics are actually pretty good for the most part. It is a shame the storyline is predictable, but young teens who haven’t seen too much sci-fi will enjoy this as a starting point.
