New on Netflix this week: Dark Crystal, Falling Inn Love and more

A new week means plenty of new on Netflix. This week brings the Dark Crystal series, a new rom-com, and Trolls. Check out the full list here.

August is almost over but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of new on Netflix. This week brings a series which is a sequel to an old favorite, a new rom-com, and a new season of an animated kid’s show.

One of most anticipated Netflix Original series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, is premiering Aug 30.

Continuing the story from the 1982 film, the series will go back to the world of Thra where three Gelflings, Rian, Brea, and Deet, start a rebellion against the Skeksis’ power once they find out a dangerous secret. With their acts of resistance, they hope to save the world.

Make sure you watch the original film on Netflix before you watch the prequel! It’s definitely worth it.n

If you are more in the mood for a rom-com, Falling Inn Love is definitely a must-watch for you. It hits Netflix Aug. 29. Christina Milan stars as Gabriela who enters a contest on a whim and ends up winning an inn in New Zealand.

She thinks she is about to live out a dream, but when she gets there, the inn leaves much to be desired. Luckily, she has the help of a friendly (and handsome) contractor, Jake Taylor, to help her fix it up.

But maybe you’re looking for something to have your kids watch (or you, no shame!)? Trolls: The Beat Goes On! season 7 is coming to Netflix Aug. 27. The same trolls (Poppy, Branch, and all the others) from the hit 2016 film are back and ready to party and continue to go on adventures.

The Good Place season 3 is also coming to Netflix this week! You can watch the full season on Aug. 27.
