Shameless season 9 is coming to Netflix in September 2019

We have some excellent news to pass along to Shameless fans who watch the series on Netflix.

Shameless season 9 is coming to Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 10! Netflix announced the news along with all the new movies and shows coming to the streaming service next month.

Heading into season 9, every season of Shameless consisted of 12 episodes. Season 9, on the other hand, has 14 episodes, and all of those new episodes will be added to the streaming service in September. You can stream every episode on the streaming service in one binge-watching session if you want!

Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, Cameron Monaghan, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Richard Flood, Christian Isaiah, and Emma Kenney star in season 9.

Shameless is also coming back for season 10! The new season premieres on Nov. 3, 2019. You have plenty of time to watch season 9 before season 10 premieres on Showtime. The 10th season of the series will also be added to Netflix, but it will likely be in the fall of 2020.

Unfortunately, Shameless season 9 is the final season of the series with star Rossum, who plays Fiona, the family matriarch, basically, although she’s just the oldest sibling. She chose to leave the series after season 9, so she will not be returning at all for season 10.

The first eight seasons of the series are streaming on Netflix now. You need to get caught up before the new season of Shameless premieres on Netflix. And, if you haven’t started watching this series, you definitely need to check it out. It’s one of the best TV shows on Netflix.

We highly recommend checking out this series on the streaming service. It’s so good and funny, but it also has so much heart. I think many people will enjoy this series and watching on Netflix is a lot cheaper than watching via Showtime, too.
