A list of 10 pop culture references, easter eggs, and more things you might have missed in Stranger Things 3.

It’s been a little more than a month since Stranger Things 3 premiered on Netflix, and many of us have binge-watched the new season a few times and bawled our eyes out at the ending on every single viewing.

There are layers upon layers of easter eggs and references hidden in the season that might even be missed after multiple marathons. Perhaps even more than previous runs, Stranger Things 3 pays homage to numerous classic 80s movies, pop culture references and more.

Here is a list of 10 things you might not have noticed in Stranger Things 3, starting with Eleven’s Room.

1. Eleven’s room

El’s room is filled with memories from the first two seasons, as well as clues to her feelings about Mike.

First of all, the poster on the wall by her bed was previously seen in the Wheelers’ basement, which suggests that Mike helped Eleven decorate her room with stuff from his own house. That’s pretty cool!

A baby mask is also hanging on the wall, and it’s the same one she wore while breaking into the home of that Hawkins Lab lackey with Kali’s gang in season 2. This was a dark moment for El, so it’s kind of weird that she’s kept it. It’s probably more of a reminder of the period she spent with her “sister” and less of a memento from the time she almost killed a guy.

There’s also a framed polaroid of Mike, dressed in his Ghostbusters outfit from last season, on El’s desk. After she’s broken up with him, the picture can be seen on her bedside table instead, and that’s probably meant to indicate that she’s been missing him.
