The Rocky franchise is now on Netflix. All five movies are taking one slot on this list of five good movies to watch on Netflix this weekend.

I could take up all five slots with five Rocky movies, right? The five are now available on Netflix and certainly worth a binge-watching this weekend. But I know they’re not for everyone. Sometimes you want a rom-com or you may want a thriller.

Well, I’ve got your back with this list. Here are five great movies to watch this weekend.

Rocky franchise

As I said, Rocky would take up on spot on this list. The five movies were made available on Aug. 1 and now you can binge-watch to your heart’s content. Rocky Balboa isn’t on the list of movies and the spin-offs aren’t available, but you can watch Rocky I to V throughout the weekend.

Fans of the original five movies or fans purely of Sylvester Stallone will want to check the movies out.

Zodiac

When it comes to thrillers, this 2007 movies from David Fincher is something to check out. It’s been on Netflix for a while, but you may have overlooked it. Well, the Jake Gyllenhaal movie is leaving the service next week and now is the perfect time to watch. Avengers fans will also want to check it out for Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr.!

Based on a true story, Zodiac is a thriller. It focuses on a manhunt known as the Zodiac Killer during the 1960s and 1970s. This killer taunts the police but will anyone be able to figure out who it is?

The Croods

One for the family is The Croods. This animated movie is set in prehistoric times and is a story of love and survival. The Croods are the only humans left in their area, but time is running out if they want to survive. However, not everyone wants to leave the cave that has protected them for years.

When one Crood feeds her curiosity, she meets a boy. He has news that the world will change soon and where they live will be gone. Now they need to go on a journey to find a new home, but that also puts them in danger of the larger prey all around.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Have you been watching Four Weddings and a Funeral on Hulu? Now it’s time to watch the movie that the series has been based on. Starring Andie MacDowell and Hugh Grant, along with a large well-known cast, the movie is the perfect rom-com for the weekend.

Grant plays Charles who, with his small group of friends, go through a number of social occasions throughout the movie. They each find love, they lose people they’re close to, and they learn more about themselves along the way.

Groundhog Day

The final movie on the list is a must for Bill Murray fans. Groundhog Day is the one movie all those with a time loop element is compared to, including Netflix’s Russian Doll. If you’ve never seen it before (where have you been?) now is the time to check it out.

Murray is Phil Collins, a weatherman who isn’t happy with the current assignment—to cover a small town’s Groundhog Day celebrations. When he dies, he wakes up on the same day and stuck in a time loop. Along the way, he learns more about himself but can he find a way out of the loop that doesn’t involve him permanently dying?
