Netflix has announced that it is adding the cult classic Now and Then to its collection and the internet is legit freaking out! The 1995 gem we all grew up watching is hitting the streaming giant next month and you can feel free to lose your old DVDs.

Starting on Aug. 1, you can watch your favorite 90s movie whenever you feel like. Now and Then, however, will only be available to stream on Netflix US for now. That may change in the future, and we’ll let you know if it does.

Now and Then is definitely one of the biggest Netflix movies coming to the streaming service in August. Check out the full list of what’s new on Netflix in August 2019.

Netflix shared the news with fans on Twitter.

Starring Christina Ricci, Rosie O’Donnell, Demi Moore, Melanie Griffith, Gaby Hoffmann, Rita Wilson Demi Moore, Ashleigh Aston Moore, and Thora Birch, Now and Then wasn’t received too well by the critics initially. But over the years, the movie has attained the status of being a cult classic and gained itself a huge fan following.

Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and produced by Moore herself, the plot of the movie revolves around a group of four childhood friends Samantha Albertson, Roberta Martin, Chrissy DeWitt and Tina Tercell and their journey from being kids to adults. The movie is often considered ‘educational’ as it addresses various social and early adolescent issues.

In these 24 years, the popularity of the movie has only increased, which explains why Netflix decided to bring it in.

The movie was also being adapted into a TV show but for some reason, that didn’t work out. Well, at least you can binge-watch your favorite childhood movie as many times you want and whenever you like, all thanks to Netflix!
