Invader Zim is coming to Netflix in August: Watch the new teaser trailer

After entertaining us for years on Nickelodeon, Invader Zim is gearing up to hit Netflix with an all-new evil masterplan to conquer the Earth. Prepare for some doom and gloom!

Netflix shared a new teaser trailer and release date for Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, the first Netflix original movie based on Invader Zim. Enter the Florpus arrives on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019. Only a few weeks to wait!

An Invader Zim movie has been in development with Nickelodeon for years now, but two months back, it was announced by Viacom’s president Robert Bakish that Netflix has acquired the distribution rights of Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus! and all of us fans SCREAMED with joy!

Been in the works since 2016, Enter the Florpus is finally ready to invade the Earth with a new evil plan and it looks like the wait is almost over! Netflix’s NX, also known as the streaming site’s official account for all things sci-fi, gaming and anime, has released a small teaser of the upcoming animated movie which also reveals the release date!

There you have it! Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus! is releasing on Netflix this Aug. 16! Make sure you mark the date down on your calendars!

The creator of the original TV series Jhonen Vasquez has penned down the script of the movie along with Aleister Arcane‘s Breehn Burns and Gary Wilson. Jhonen is heading directions as well with Jake Wyatt.

As per the voice cast, according to Comicbook, most of the original stars are returning to reprise their parts. Richard Steven Horvitz is playing Zim, Rosearik Rikki Simons as GIR, Andy Berman as Dib Membrane, Melissa Fahn as Gaz Membrane, Rodger Bumpass as Professor Membrane, Wally Wingert as Almighty Tallest Red, Kevin McDonald as Almighty Tallest Purple, Jhonen Vasquez as Zim’s Computer, Olivia d’Abo as Tak, and Paul Greenberg is playing Poonchy and we can’t wait for the movie to finally arrive!

Short answer – Zim wishes to take over the world. Long answer – Netflix has released an official description:
