You season 2, which fans are desperately waiting for, will explore Joe Goldberg’s twisted early life, and according to Penn Badgley, things are going to get ugly.

Is Beck really dead? What happened to Dr. Nicky? Did Candace come back or was Joe imagining her? We have the answers! Some of them, at least. You season 2 is going to address the cliffhangers of the first one and here’s what you can expect!

For starters, Joe aka Penn Badgley will move from New York to LA, as the show will explore his messy early life and Beck is, well, dead for good.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Penn revealed some details about the upcoming season and added that it is going to be disgusting.

"“There are some things I’ve done with prosthetic bodies in this [new] season that were kind of nauseating as I did them, I will say that.”"

What?!?!?!

Talking about Beck’s death, Penn said that it still haunts him and we’re gonna see bits of it in the second episode of the second season:

"“There’s a revisitation of that with Joe in the second episode of the second season, where you get to see a bit more of the hard reality of what he did to her. Whereas you’re sort of, for better or worse, mercifully saved from seeing that in the first season. That always haunts me, thinking of Beck. It’s like, ‘You really did that in the first season, and we’re still going, and people really like this guy?!’ That’s disturbing.”"

So, in case you were expecting Beck to return, it is a no from Badgley.

Candace, however, is coming back along with doctor Nicky. Victoria Pedretti of Netflix’s Haunting of Hill House and the new season of the show is playing Joe’s new love interest,  Love Quinn, an aspiring chef who stays away from social media, according to the report. Surely, that will make Joe’s quest to find information a little more tricky than the first season with Beck.

The plot is based on another of Caroline’s books, Hidden Bodies, so if you have already read the book, you should have a fair idea of what is coming! The production of You kicked off four months back, and we believe season 2 will be released later this year or in early 2020. Will you be watching? We can’t wait!

Stay tuned for more news about You season 2 and its release date on Netflix! We should find out more information over the next few months.
