Why you should be watching the Fox Classic That ’70s Show

That ’70s Show, the most underrated classic sitcom which will forever be a gem and remind you that We’re All Alright.

That ’70s Show is clearly one of the best sitcoms out there but it is also one of the most underrated ones. A lot of sitcom lovers have not even heard of this show and this show stars the likes of Hollywood stars such as Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

And if you are among the people who have not watched a single episode of That ’70s Show, it is my sincerest request from you to stop what you are doing right now and go to Netflix and watch the pilot, although I should warn you that you might not be able to stop once you have seen the first episode.

That ’70s Show is about six teenagers in a quiet Wisconsin town called Point Place, where they spend most of their time hanging out in Eric Forman’s (Topher Grace) crumby basement.
While this might not sound groundbreaking to you, That ’70s Show‘s heart was always at its characters. All of them had flaws but during the course of the show, we learned to love their flaws and related to every single of them.

Ashton Kutcher’s Michael Kelso is one of the best characters to ever exist in a sitcom. It’s hard not to love a beautiful idiot. Kelso was played phenomenally by Kutcher and he was the one that got the most laughs out of me. Kelso was wild and would never say no to a dangerous adventure, and the fact that he would rather give a girl a balloon than diamond under two carats is all the more reason to love him.

Topher Grace’s Eric Forman is a relatable nerd on so many levels, his eternal love for Star Wars not only makes up for some fantastic reimagining of the movie but also gives us some of the most hilarious and quotable quips from the show. Laura Prepon’s Donna Pinciotti is an empowering and strong girl who you can’t help but love and the relationship and friendship between Donna and Eric throughout the show was just too damn adorable.

Mila Kunis’s Jackie started off as an annoying and shallow character but her evolution and beauty puns are worth it. And obviously, watching Ashton and Mila play boyfriend and girlfriend way before they actually got married is a real treat in itself.

Wilmer Valderrama’s Fez stands for “Foreign Exchange Student” and was the horniest member of the group. He was perverted but also sweet and attractive and that is why he is also very lovable and his non-existent love life will definitely make you feel for him.

Danny Masterson’s Hyde is amazing. He was the rebellious kid, the one who believed in conspiracy theories. He was tough and he just did not care. He never respected authority and never cared for what people thought. He did have a soft side as we see throughout the show and his relationship with Kitty and Red was beautiful, which makes him the greatest.

And obviously, Kitty and Red. I think everybody has felt like Red at some point, he despises people and prefers being alone, he just says what’s on his mind however rude it may be. And he made the word dumbass way cooler than it ever was. Everything about Kitty is a joy to watch especially her laugh and her love for alcohol.

Bob, Midge and Leo, all of these side characters were admirable and hilarious as well.

That ’70s Show also had a slew of remarkable guest stars such as Dwayne Johnson, who played a wrestling champion or Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who had a crush on Eric. Betty White was Kitty’s mother. Fez dated Lindsay Lohan and so many more.

The show had these really cool roasting moments where somebody would give a witty remark about another and the others would just yell “Burn!” A lot of it came from Kelso and now I’m so used to it that even when in other shows somebody does something like this I can’t help but scream “Burn!” at the screen.

Also, the gang had this thing called “circle” and it is straight out hilarious and iconic. It kinda makes you wish that you had a circle of your own.

That ’70s Show feels like home. it feels like hanging out with your friends. There is this comfort and heart in it that would never go old. You could be any one of these characters and your friends would fit right in as the other characters of this show. That ’70s Show may have its faults and its highs and low but its something that I cherish in my heart forever and it will definitely give you a bloody good time.
