What’s new on Netflix this weekend? You can catch new seasons of In the Dark and Free Rein, as well as a Meryl Streep drama.

Wow, so. . . there’s just not a lot of new stuff coming to Netflix this weekend. C’est la vie, some weekends are simply more exciting than others and this weekend’s new on Netflix dry spell makes sense after a new release-packed opening to the month with Stranger Things 3.

Since there’s not a lot on the binging docket, here’s a breakdown of what every new title of this weekend is all about.

Viewers of The CW may be familiar with In the Dark, a comedy-drama about an ill-tempered and irreverent young blind woman who finds a new life purpose in attempting to solve a murder. This show is completely new to Netflix, with season 1 premiering on Friday, July 5.

On Saturday, July 6, two films will be headed to Netflix for your viewing pleasure. First, there’s The Iron Lady, a dramatic biopic about famed British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Meryl Streep stars. It isn’t her most well-received film, but come on, it’s Meryl Friggin’ Streep.

The other new movie out on July 6 is Sicilian Ghost Story. This Italian-language film might turn away those Netflix subscribers too impatient for subtitles, but it’s actually supposed to be a very interesting watch. The drama centers on Luna, a young girl who insists on investigating the disappearance of her young love when no one else will.

The last new release coming to Netflix this weekend is Free Rein, which will see its third season dropping on Sunday, July 7. This British series is perfect for all the young horse lovers out there: it follows the story of  Zoe Phillips, a young girl who befriends a horse after spending the summer with her mother in England.
