13 Reasons Why season 3 possibly coming in October 2019
Netflix hasn’t confirmed a release date for 13 Reasons Why season 3. However, a cast member may have given away the release month.
When it comes to the bigger shows, Netflix is usually secretive about the return dates. That’s why getting news on the return of 13 Reasons Why wasn’t something we expected until closer to the release. Well, it sounds like an actor has slipped up with the release, sharing that 13 Reasons Why season 3 is coming in October.
Zack Prusak shared a photo on Twitter, with the announcement of the month. It actually happened in June, but the announcement went under the radar. After all, we weren’t looking out for it and it didn’t come from Netflix or the show. Plus, Prusak was a guest star on the second season, credited as “Jock” in an episode. It’s only season 3 that he’s listed on IMDb as being in every episode for the season.
Granted, we had hoped we’d hear something by now. We’d expected the season to drop sometime between June and July. That would have worked for the timing of the previous seasons, giving the show about a 14-month break between seasons 2 and 3. If it is an October release date, then we won’t expect to get confirmation until around September or maybe August at a pinch.
It’s unclear whether Prusak was allowed to release the date or not. It’s not surprising Netflix hasn’t said anything, but none of the main cast members have shared the date. We know Dylan Minnette, Ross Butler, and Timothy Granaderos are slated to return. The only actress confirmed to be leaving was Katherine Langford, as Hannah Baker’s story had come to a complete end.
So far, we know virtually nothing at all about the season. With Granaderos promoted to series regular, we can expect the season to focus on Monty’s actions against Tyler, and what those actions do to both the victim and the perpetrator. Don’t expect this season to be light on the drama or horrific images.
