Fear The Walking Dead season 5, episode 5: Althea gets a hot scoop

In today’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead, Althea makes her return with a chance at the biggest story she’s come across in a long time. The question is: Will she put her own life in danger for this one big scoop?

The upcoming episode of Fear The Walking Dead is taking a break from Morgan’s adventures at the truck-stop to focus on what happened to Althea (Maggie Grace). Last we saw of Al, she was being hauled away by one CRM’s soldiers. But in Season 5, Episode 5 “The End of Everything”, we’ll find out exactly where she’s been this whole time.

Despite being dragged through a ditch, Al will get the upper hand on her capturer at some point. Images from “The End of Everything” show Al struggling to free herself of her restraints, indicating as such. The unnamed CRM soldier played by Sydney Lemmon isn’t nearby so we can probably assume Althea got away.

It is worth mentioning that one glimpse depicts Al carrying the CRM soldier’s modified rifle and prepping containers of gasoline. She also seems to be at a staging post with supplies around so it goes to reason that Al will assume control of the CRM pit-stop. This could be inconsequential to the remainder of Season 5, though Al’s supplies may make the difference in getting the C&L denim factory back from Logan (Matt Frewer).

There’s another aspect worth pointing out about “The End of Everything” — the episode title itself. Since Season 5, Episode 5 won’t be the final episode this season and presumably won’t draw the Fear story to a close either, the episode title is likely alluding to the TWD movies.

The reason that “the end of everything” points towards next year’s TWD movies is the mysterious group only known as CRM will play a major part in them. And the Walking Dead movies are set to be somewhat of a culmination of everything that’s transpired, giving reason to why tonight’s episode is entitled “The End of Everything”.

Regardless of episode titles, tonight’s episode is bound to build on the story being set up for next year’s Walking Dead movies. We don’t know how much information will be divulged but seeing Althea with all that CRM equipment gives us the impression that Season 5, Episode 5 is going to end with Al learning some startling truths about the clandestine group.
