A list of 5 good Netflix movies to watch this weekend, including What a Girl Wants and classics like Platoon and Network.

Next week will see the start of July. Can you believe that? With a new month will come a ton of great new Netflix movies, but before we see that wave you won’t want to miss out on some of the excellent titles that dropped in June.

If you need some ideas of what to watch before the end of the month, here’s an easy breakdown of 5 great Netflix movies you can stream right now.

20th Century Women

If you stan a good dramedy, be sure to check out 20th Century Women. This 2016 flick centers on the lives of California boarding house tenants in 1979. It features a bunch of famous faces, to include acting pros like Annette Bening, Greta Gerwig and Elle Fanning.

Network

Revisit a classic satire by watching the 1976 film Network. This movie about a desperate television network’s struggle with poor ratings was a critical hit, winning a whopping four Academy Awards. If you’re up for an older flick, this film won’t disappoint.

Platoon

Talk about an all-star cast: Platoon is packed with famous faces. This 1986 war drama sees stars like Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger, Forest Whitaker and even Charlie Sheen coming together in a story about the terror of war in Vietnam.

What a Girl Wants

This film might not be a critical favorite, but it’s still an absolute must-watch! Amanda Bynes stars as a quirky American teen who takes to London to meet her estranged father, who just so happens to be running for the House of Commons. It’s funny, sweet and completely quotable.

The Space Between Us

Teens will get their romance fix in The Space Between Us, a story about a young boy who was raised on Mars. Asa Butterfield, star of the Netflix original series Sex Education, and Britt Robertson star as the young leads.
