It’s always a total buzz kill when Netflix adds a movie without its sequel or the sequel without the original. (Looking at the streaming giant’s treatment of the Scream franchise specifically.) But this summer, fans of the cult classic sports film Caddyshack won’t have to worry about that — even if they’d rather not watch the sequel. Both Caddyshack films begin streaming ahead of the 4th of July holiday for all of your nostalgic viewing pleasure.

Caddyshack follows teenager Danny Noonan (Michael O’Keefe) who takes a job as a caddy at the Bushwood Country Club to save up some money for college. He tries to campaign for a scholarship reserved for caddies by working with the influential Judge Elihu Smails (Ted Knight) while also getting advice from gold guru Ty Webb (Chevy Chase). In Caddyshack II, finds the country club getting turned into an amusement park by a real estate tycoon, a battle that can only be won by a golfing match.

Upon release, Caddyshack initially received lukewarm reception from critics but managed to make an impressive $39.8 million box office gross against its production budget of $6 million. Over the years, the film garnered a cult following and gained new acclaim from critics. However, Caddyshack II bombed at the box office and failed to win over critics. You can be the judge of that when both films hit Netflix this month.
