The Last Summer hit Netflix in May, getting an early start on viewers’ summer watch lists. The rom-com features a stellar cast of up and coming names. It was written by Scott and William Bindley, the latter also served as the director.

The movie focuses on a group of high school graduates from Chicago that come together for one last summer before heading to college. The teens tackle love and friendships are their time together starts to quickly tick down. With only a short time left in their home city, they must make the summer one to never forget. But they must also prepare for what the future holds as they embark on a new journey.

The cast is headlined by KJ Apa who is best known for playing Archie Andrews on Riverdale. His involvement has surely drawn viewers in considering Riverdale’s popularity on Netflix. Maia Mitchell is another highlight of the cast and she holds a fan-following. The actress currently stars in Good Trouble on Freeform.
