The Last Jedi is the eighth installment of the Star Wars franchise and the second movie in the sequel trilogy. Considering the end of the Skywalker Saga is coming this December with The Rise of Skywalker, it’s probably a good idea to catch up on the previous movie. The Star Wars movie will also soon be leaving Netflix as the title moves to Disney’s streaming service in the near future.

The blockbuster film follows the events of The Force Awakens after Rey (Ridley) travels to find Luke Skywalker (Hamill). The fight between the Resistance and the First Order continues to intensify. Rey hopes that Luke will train her in the ways of the Force but he is reluctant. Kylo Ren (Driver) still has his sights on winning Rey over to join him in taking over the galaxy.

The movie introduced a number of new faces to the franchise. The Last Jedi also serves as the last true film that Carrie Fisher worked in prior to her death. The actress will appear in the upcoming film through archive footage.
