How It Ends made its Netflix debut in July last summer. What’s better than watching a disaster movie from the safety of your own home while blasting the AC? The movie was directed by David M. Rosenthal, best known for his work on Janie Jones, Falling Up and The Perfect Guy.

A young couple, Will (James) and Sam (Graham), find out that they are expecting. Will decides to travel to Chicago to officially ask Sam’s parents’ permission to marry Sam. He eventually gets into an argument with her father, Tom (Whitaker). Before he can catch a flight home, strange seismic events occur throughout the country.

With electricity and communication cut off, Will and Tom decide to drive together to Seattle in the hopes of rescuing Sam. The journey is certainly not an easy one as they encounter questionable characters. They also find themselves in very dangerous situations due to the unexplained events threatening the country. Will and Tom also get the chance to get to know each other and rid the tension among them.
